When credit cards are used to pay for registrations, there is a fee that gets charged to your organization. PlayyOn has a fee of 1.5% that is collected off each credit card payment.

PlayyOn uses Stripe as our safe and secure partner to process all credit card payments. Stripe's fee is 2.9% plus 30 cents per transaction.

So let's find out what happens once a registration has been processed.

Here is the scenario. You create a team registration that costs athletes $100 to be involved with.

As mentioned above, PlayyOn has fee of 1.5% so therefore that will be $1.50.

Stripe has a fee of 2.9% ($2.90) and a $0.30 transaction fee.

Therefore, the total fee cost to your organization is $4.70 for every registration (if the registration cost is $100).

Therefore, the amount of money your organization will receive is $95.30.

There are several options you can take as an organization in regards to dealing with these fees.

1. You can absorb the cost into the organization and collect the $95.30 as the overall registration fee.

2. You can calculate the 4.4% + $0.30 transaction fee and add that to the total cost of the registration. For instance, instead of charging $100, you would charge $105. However, bare in mind that if you accept cash, cheques or transfers, registrants will assume the cost is $105 (unless otherwise notified).

The two options above are the different avenues you can take regarding to dealing with the transaction fees that apply to credit card payments. Each organization is different and therefore we like to offer different options in order to suit your preference.

Prices differ depending what country your organization is in. To see international prices click here.
